Job summary:

In this role they will model and report on data generated by INTURN's platform and internal applications. Help INTURN manage the brokerage of millions of dollars of merchandise and complexities of a rapidly growing business. Collaborate with our world-class design team and engineers.  They know SQL and data modeling like the back of your hand. They are a quick and willing to learn new technologies and have the examples to prove your aptitude. They are not tool-centric; They determine what technology works best for the problem at hand and apply it accordingly. Extract, transform, and  load  data  from  a  wide  variety  of  data  sources  using  SQL/Python.  Own  the  design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation. Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for Business Users.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience writing advanced SQL, data modeling, data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehousing) and using databases in a business environment with complex datasets
  • Very strong experience with Looker or similar BI
  • Experience building complex data models and automating data extraction from multiple sources
  • Ability to create dashboards and reports in an actionable way to drive business change
  • Experience working with a wide range of predictive and decision models and data mining techniques using Python or R
  • Experience with building Data Warehouses in Oracle, Redshift or similar database
  • Passion and enthusiasm for analyzing large data sets and making actionable recommendations
  • Proven ability to identify relationships within large, not obviously related data sets
  • Willingness to learn and try new technologies
  • Computer Science or related degree is preferred


  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Bayesian methods, collaborative filtering, decision trees, clustering
  • Previous start up experience


  • BA/BS is required
  • Advanced degree is a plus
