Job Summary


INTURN is looking for a seasoned, highly-motivated Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in planning and executing accounting projects that focus on streamlining reporting processes, automation, and enhancement of internal controls. You are hands-on, have exceptional work ethic, an architect mindset, and enjoy a dynamic, early stage environment.




  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities by preparing, posting and reconciling period end closing journal entries. Collaborate with third party accountant and drive the overall accounting close process in an efficient, effective and timely manner.

  • Manage general ledger, oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable cycles. Includes monitoring collections and performing cash applications.

  • Advanced experience in building schedules, processes, reconciliations and flux analysis.

  • Partner with our Client Success team to manage the billing process, ensure accuracy, propose accruals or adjustments for proper revenue recognition.

  • Evaluate, develop and support implementation of company accounting policies to support evolving accounting environment. Your goal is to simplify, standardize and help scale our business.

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensure effective communication and collaboration within Finance and other areas of the organization.

  • Provide support to FP&A team for variance analysis and ad-hoc requests as needed.


Key Qualifications


  • Minimum 6 years of accounting experience (preferably a mix of public and private). Big 4 experience a plus.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of US GAAP. Expertise in general accounting, month end close procedures, internal controls and reporting.

  • Excellent communication (written and oral), collaboration and well-developed problem-solving skills. Ability to understand and communicate technical accounting issues to non-accounting business partners.

  • Experience with Quickbooks a plus, ERP systems and implementations experience highly preferred.

  • Working knowledge of multiple entity structuring, intercompany eliminations and foreign currencies.

  • Strong excel skills and comfortable handling large data volume.
